  • Ron Lykins University of Missouri head coach

    Posted by Jason Miller

He understands that his program and team is young and needs the time to grow.  I have a pretty good feeling that the head coach of the Men’s wheelchair basketball team at the University of Missouri will build them into a team that will be reckoned with in the not so distant future.  My next stop in the tour around college wheelchair basketball takes us to Columbia, Missouri, where I had the chance to talk with Coach Lykins, please enjoy:

He has something pretty special at Missouri

Coach Frogley is not only trying to teach the game of wheelchair basketball to his players but he is trying to teach them life lessons.  It was great to talk again with Coach Frogley about his busy schedule and those dreaded chair skill drills.  Good luck to the University of Illinois Men's wheelchair basketball team!

He has a few championships as a player and as a coach but you would never know it talking to him.  He is, as he mentions about his players, a putting a hardhat on and bring your lunch box to work type of guy.  It was my pleasure to interview the Head Coach at UW-Whitewater Jeremy "Opie" Lade.  Thanks again Opie and I wish your team good luck this upcoming season.
